I’m a senior product design engineer at Apple, where I lead product design for display systems within Apple Vision AR/VR. Before that, I drove mechanical engineering for Apple Watch and iPhone displays.
I studied mechanical engineering at UC Berkeley (B.S. 2018, M.S. 2019).
I enjoy 3D modeling, rapid prototyping and working with mechanical/electronics components in Arduino. I have branched out of my major enough to develop a passion for programming, specifically in Matlab, Python and Arduino, working on projects from bio-inspired robotics to developing test algorithms for trained machine learning classifiers. I have also spent time with the less glamorous side of engineering doing research for BART on the applicability of flight and ground-based drones to monitor their railway system. Much of this research included presentations and report-generation, required an in-depth search of current FAA regulations, and necessitated an emphasis upon ethical engineering as a high priority in the project’s development.
